The first track we played when our station went Live in 2006, was from an un-signed act called Compulsive Behaviour. GXR was formed by ex Groovecatcher composer/producers Simon Cooper and Phil Webb in 2007. Following their haunting remix of the classic Billie Holiday track "Long Gone Blues" for Sony Legacy, GXR's debut album Skylines, was released in 2008 via their own independent label, Xtra Rare Music. The first time I heard Catya's music was on a warm, sunny Friday afternoon - sheer bliss. Hopefully, there is even more to come from this amazing artist.
